Travel/History magazine?

 Two things I love are travelling and history and even better, the history of the places I've travelled to!. Now this idea is quite niche I must admit but I was planning to do a magazine about travelling to different places locally before but I specifically was planning on doing a sort magazine that I would say falls under the culture umbrella where I would shed light on different aspects Malindi or Watamu, Which is on the Kenyan coast although Nairobi is an option too, and Include not a travel guide really but more so maybe an insight on things such as "matatu culture" which is when various local transport vans paint multiple designs which are colorful and vibrant, The style of it could be called Graffiti.

Now I have many more Ideas about travel/history this one one of them and I will expand about it more when I've  decided on which type of magazine I'm going to do.

The Fashion Magazine?

 If you asked me to name some fashion magazines, I would probably say Vogue, Elle Maybe Harpers Bazar but I don't really know of local fashion magazines. The ones I named previously are quite editorial and high fashion, which for my magazine, would mean I would be doing something new to me, which I don't really have an issue with however finding inspiration would be difficult.

Aside from that if I was to do a fashion magazine for my coursework it would maybe focus more on the Nairobi fashion scene where maybe I would find and take pictures of peoples outfits and their inspirations behind what they're wearing probably as some form of an Interview? but that is just a thought for now.

Influx of Ideas

 Too many Ideas!

 I've been recently thinking about what type of magazine to do and, truth be told, have gone nowhere in the decision making process, so I have decided to record my current ideas and make an attempt at really seeing the different magazine types for what they are. I'm going to research from existing magazines to try  to make the right decision for now; meanwhile I will be doing some digging in to the first magazine Idea which is the Fashion & Editorial Magazine.

Welcome to Kahama's Blog!

Welcome to my first blog post, My name is Kahama and I am very intrigued by the different types of media and their many processes, especially print and digital related medias, which is why I chose this subject. 

 I will be documenting my creative intentions and processes during the period of my As-level media coursework to produce a media outlet that is a magazine. Meanwhile, I do hope you enjoy the "behind the scenes" of the work on my blog and I aim to make this procedure very well documented including the failures and experimentations to produce a magazine worth reading by the end of my course.
