 for practice and to challenge myself i decided to recreate a magazine i found online to get a taste of what it's like to create a music and culture related soul magazine.

I took these pictures with the intention of puutting them in the culture portion of the magazine to showcase how the people of the coast live perhaps instead of just fancy hotels, how do the people there go about their day th activities like fishing,which is where i took these pictures (on the beach)

Photoshop Study(1)

This Is my first attempt at doing a draft cover using the flatplan i created and the photography study i did shortly before this post.

I found this design to be quite boring but it works, but in the future i'd like something more editorial. Also the model covering the text seems to not be working here, perhaps due to where i placed it, but nonetheless it's not a bad start in my opinion.

Vogue Australia April 2023: (codes and conventions)+inspiration (3)

 For this issue i chose the cover as the editorial photography style is something i could carry out for my magazine, as for the rest of the magazine i find the other codes and conventions quite uninteresting so i didn't include them because they are also similar to the last issues i analysed.

1. the 2 subjects with the background is good looking and i plan to do a photoshoot inspired specifically by this cover and do another analysis on a different magazine to see what the results will come out ot look like.

Magazine name

I was brainsorming on a name for my magazine and here are the suggestions i came up with perhaps for a new questoinnare

• Kayàr (a play on my name)
• Karlture
• Kalture
• Kayar:Artisanal collection
• Kayvar
• Arayk
• Kàyaar 
• Haama
• Kayama

I like the word Artisanal as it sounds editorial maybe like K

 Here i attempted to capture the local culture and life in the area near the coast and in terms of art i went to a textile shop to capture the fabrics maybe for an insert on fashion.

• It makes sense for my mag to be quarterly so since most interact with arts and cullture content weekly or monthly from the previous question.

• To engage with my audience towards the end i plan on creating some way for them to interact with exclusicve content
