fisheye magazine: (codes and conventions)+inspiration (4)+(typography research)

fisheye magazine caught my eye when i was looking into new the new aesthetic mentioned in the last it's almost exactly the direction i was thinking but even though it's in a whole different language i like the typography, photography and layout, (especially the photography) I find it more appealing than theother ones iv'e done so far so here are some images that i will recreate in the next photoshop editing study.

The fonts used are intruiging and i have looked for interesting font types which are more creative and expressive to apeal to my younger audiences

  Estrella Font-very nice and flowing i like it as it resembles that beach/water wavey atmosphere.

Magazine subject matter + Interesting corner?

 Magazine design 

I was thinking of the trajectory of my magazine and my theme Art & Culture i can see a dead end where i do something cliche and slightly boring  and not intruiging to the eyes so i thought of somehow merging  rebelious non-conformist themes like Slightly Funky  with Art & Culture as i don't think I've seen that before so from now on I'll try doing reaserch on magazines of the sort.

Using my audience research, I conluded on doing some type of interview/feature 

The Sunday Times Culture 2024 issues(CODES AND CONVENTIONS)+INSPIRATION (5)

 Here I'm going to do research on mainly content pages from a culture magazine (The Sunday times: Culture) which i plan on implementing in my magazine. The magazine has multiple issues so i picked four but they follow the same format.

1.  What i like about these content pages is that they have a section for a small insert where it can double as an editors page. Now I don't think I will definetly make this look like my content page but i will definately look to this as a refrence for layout, Image placement and more it serves as an alternative for the content page Inspiration that i did for the vogue magazine which i felt lacked in some areas.
2. Now To make the magazine feel more real i see that ad placements seem to be very prevelant in all the magazines i have see so I will for sure make an ad like the one on the bottom as i feel it is an important code and convention across all magazines i see.

Magazine writing For each page-Organizing ideas

This is a loose plan on what will be in the draft magazine i will make This will just be ideas from what iv'e done in terms of research or other things so i can start researching.

• Overall
• Art and Culture on the kenyan coast so use the pictures i took maybe as a showcase of what it is like
• A Topic section on a person maybe artist who uses their culture to influence their art
• maybe a song of the month example- (Ayub Ogada)

Deciding an a colour pallete and size specifications

 While creating the cover i thought about having a colour pallete to go back to and size for refrence 

I chose to go with blue and yellow hues to resemble the beach with the water and the sand for this issue of the magazine. I thought my audience would like these colours as they also feel quite youthful.

For the size i looked at other magzines and concluded this is the most logical size
