preparing front cover photoshoot

As I am not entirely happy with my last cover page of the magazine I have decided to do a photoshoot for a new cover page and slightly revamp the cover page to match the content and double page spread as they feel a little disconnected.

I thought I would document the process of me preparing for this shoot.

I went with the idea of enzi a textile creator and one of his textiles featuring in the cover by a model in a kimono style piece of clothing, so I went out to purchase a fabric to match this feeling.

  • me holding the textile chosen after purchase

So after buying the fabric I quickly realized I don't have the materials needed to create my clothing vision so I took the fabric to a Tailor and explained my vision.

  • At the tailor to get Enzi's cover feature  textile sewed

the vision was to fuse different cultural elements like a japanese kimono with african silhouttes which i would imagine my made up character Enzi would do in his recent collection which was briefly discussed in my article.

I will show the result in the final photoshoot blog post/evidence post
